Online and Streaming Pantos Christmas 2021

It is fantastic news that so panto is back in most theatres in the UK, but panto lovers will be delighted to know that they can still watch a panto online as well as in their local theatre!

You can watch a panto from the comfort of your own home, there are online and streaming pantos available - and you will carry on supporting theatres and performers around the UK at the same time.

Here are some of the theatres and production companies that are streaming either recorded or live performances this year. Some are available on You Tube.

Panto Live has two shows for Christmas 2021. Cinderella Live features Chris Rankin, best known as Percy Weasley of the Harry Potter franchise, Jessica Ellis (Hollyoaks) and Kimberly Hart-Simpson (Coronation Street) are in the cast of the worlds first online and fully interactive pantomime. In Santa Live, join Santa and his elves as they rescue Christmas from the clutches of evil, Beatrix the bad and her sickening sidekick Agnes. International audiences can boo, laugh, cheer, clap, shout “Behind You!” and even sing along with the cast in these ground-breaking fully interactive pantomimes.
Panto Online starring Blue Peter's Peter Duncan, is back for Christmas 2021 after the success of last year's Jack and the Beanstalk with a production of Cinderella. Cinders dreams of a different life but is stuck at home with her father Baron Hardup who has lost his fortune. Only Buttons, the manservant and her best friend can make her laugh. Available for individual bookings or groups in schools, care homes and community groups.
Hartlepool Town Hall Theatre have a livestream of their panto Beauty and The Beast available to watch on YouTube.

Cinderella for Comic Relief, recorded in 2020, is available in the UK in the BBC iPlayer until 24th December 2021. Olivia Colman leads a stellar cast of actors, entertainers and comedians in the ‘stay at home’ panto recorded completely online.
Aladdin Filmed at The Roses Theatre, Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire, it's the story of the boy plucked from poverty into an extraordinary adventure. Will the evil Abanazar get his hands on the lamp or will good overcome evil?
Goldilocks and the 3 Bearz is presented by The Basel English Panto Group based in Basel, Switzerland. This year, to due to the Covid-19 restrictions, originally produced as a virtual pantomime, screened the show on Zoom and with live audience interaction, it is now available to watch online. Goldilocks is sent off on a quest to help her village. During her search in the woods, evil will confront her with a few obstacles, but she manages to find refuge in a cottage. Little does she know some very woke Bearz own the place.

SPADS is the Lechworth-based Song, Pantomime And Drama Society. They present their 2018 pantomime Aladdin complete on YouTube.
Plothole Productions is the team behind this production Sleeping Beauty - The Online Panto, recorded completely online in 2020. Donations are requested for the Childhood Trust if you enjoy this show. There are a few naughty words, frequent references to alcohol, occasional reference to smoking and plenty of adult innuendo.
Jack Point and the Beanstalk is a virtual pantomime with a Gilbert & Sullivan twist! Join jester Jack Point and friends on a magical romp through pantoland. Presented by Eastbourne G&S.
